Newschannel 13 reports a 12-year-old boy and his uncle died in a multi-car wreck in Colorado Springs Thursday night in a 3-vehicle accident. 

22-year-old Gregory Lee Johnson was driving with 12-year-old Josh Attardi around 6 p.m. when he lost control of his 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix at a turn at Palmer Park and Bula. The passenger side of the Pontiac hit a Nissan Pathfinder's front end, and one more car.

The driver the second vehicle, 40-year-old Christine Kaye Litchfield of Colorado Springs, was treated and released for neck strain.

The driver of third vehicle invovled in the crash, a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder, was 31 year old Nicole Walden of Colorado Springs. She was treated and released for facial contusions. Her passengers were 10-year-old Xavier Wright, who was treated and released for contusions, and 4-year-old Zaldon Gunn, who was not injured.


Police are investigating drug use as a possible cause of the accident.
