8 hurt in Academy Blvd. crash

Late afternoon on Saturday, a red car going south on Academy Boulevard hit a silver-colored Dodge Caravan heading east on Airport Road. Each car carried four people. The Gazette reports that among the eight injured people, two were in critical condition and taken to Memorial Hospital.

The Colorado Springs Police Department Blotter further reports that one of the cars went through the red light, striking the other car, which had a turn signal on.
